SHTF Weapons ?

So, the proverbial defecation has hit the proverbial oscillation (SHTF!) what weapons do you grab? Keep in mind that you'll be on the move. Personally I'm grabbing my Operator .45, 5 magazines and box of hollow points. I don't have a rifle but I'd grab that as well if it was light weight.

Sometimes I close a thread and stare at it for 5 minutes trying to think of a different way to say the same closing remark hoping that it'll somehow cause an epiphany.

Other times I just lay my head on the keyboard and weep.

Since I closed this one 12 minutes ago, I've had time to do both.

Please, no SHTF threads.

I'll expand upon Jorg's closing note.

THR views SHTF/TEOTWAWKI/zombie invasion threads as silly fantasy threads. You may not mean it that way, but the terms are shorthand for fantasy much more often than addressing real self or home defense problems of multiple attackers.

While it may be fun to pretend you've dropped into the plot from some shootemup action film the discussions rarely approach the real serious problems and they become downright embarrassing to us and the shooting community at large.

If you have a serious discussion about self or home defense in a realistic situation the S&T forum is a great place to look at real situations that we might all find ourselves in.

IOW, THR doesn't "do" SHTF discussions since they are usually unrealistic fantasy premises. Sorry to be a killjoy.
