My buddy ordered a left handed stag ar-15 yesterday and i saw a sweet double barreled shotgun for 495 there.... it wasnt a very long gun.. i love the side by side barrel and the way you load it. Ive never shot a shotgun before only my ar so im looking to buy a shotgun like that.. here are the questions.. it looked older...i dont know if it was used.. The hammers were like 1700's style. is there any way i can get a shotgun like that but more futuristic or do i have to settle for an older one? I didnt really like the hammers.. and it looked dirty...any helps is appreciated guys. thank you o and one more thing... are there any brands that make those shotguns still today>??

From your description I'd say that sxs was well used if it was dirty. Futuristic?? Most of the SXS being made don't have external hammers. The cowboy action people like them that way so there are some new ones withg the old time hammers. Depending on how much you are willing to pay and what you will use it for, you can get new sxs shotguns ranging from about $300 on up to more than a new car. More $$, more quality and longer lasting (more rounds through without problems) as a rule. Bottom of the sxs food chain is the Stoeger and top, well I don't swim that high but a few on this board will be along to tell you.
