I don't think so, at least not right away. They were writing orders for the 45 like gangbusters. One market they are looking at is SWAT Teams that still use single-action automatics (which is the reason for the rail) and they seem to prefer the .45ACP.
Ernest Langdon has "divorced" Sigarms because they could not/would not provide him with parts he needed to work on customers' guns. He was reportedly shooting a Beretta again at the IDPA Nationals, but I did not see him in action to know for sure.
I've owned three 9mm 1911's (Kimber Stainless Target II, Dan Wesson Pointman Major, and a Colt GM 70 Series) and all three had reliability problems. I've given up on 9mm 1911's. This afternoon I'm picking up a Beretta Steel I 9mm SA, from now on that will be my version of a 9mm 1911.

Have you tried an STI in 9mm? got mine from Dawson Precision, 9mm Trojan 5.0 and supposedly test fires them for reliability before releasing them. I've recently started shooting +P out of mine because the WWB ammo would cycle the slide slower than I usually like.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard that the STI line are excellent pistols. But I just shelled out $1205 yesterday on the Beretta Steel I, so it may be awhile before I'm in the market for another full-sized 9mm. Again, thanks.
