I found some confusion about this package. TACPAC (Tactical Package) is not to be confused with TACOPS (Tactical Operations) which comes with ambi-safety, mag well, night sights and optional threaded barrel. TACPAC comes with Nitron pistol without the ambi-safety, without the magwell and 3-dot sights.
Although I combed the Sig forum threads, I could not get verification regarding TACPAC and TACOPS. I finally got email verification that railed XO pistol in TACPAC is indeed same as TACOPS without the night sights, ambi-safety and magwell.

So, if you wanted the accuracy of TACOPS but didn't need the extra features, you could get a railed or non-railed XO for less money.

I took mine out today with a new Rock Island commander length to break in the latter. The Sig has had the same eight Federal HSTs in it for many months, and I wanted to shoot them as a function test. The Sig performed flawlessly as expected. The new RIA did well itself, but the trigger is nothing close to the Sig. At the end of the day I fired 116 rounds thru the Sig (100 ball and 16 HSTs) as well as 416 thru the Rock (400 ball and 16 HSTs). The Sig didn't hiccup at all, and the Rock had a few failures to feed, as I expected for a new gun (although the HSTs were 100%).

My friend bought a RIA Tactical and I recommended that he get some Chip McCormick 8rd Power Mags. After we did an initial cleaning and lubing of RIA Tactical, it has fed everything we put into it with CMC magazines (we did have some FTF with factory mags) - About 1000 rounds of factory RN (WWB), reloaded RN (Berry's) and even lead SWC (Missouri Bullet).

Similar to your experience, my 1911R TACPAC has fed about the same amount of similar loads without any issues using factory magazines. Only thing I had to do was to seat the SWC deeper to 1.245" OAL to fit the tighter chamber with short leade (RIA's chamber was a bit loose and fed 1.250" OAL SWCs without issue).
