As a preface, I'm almost retired so buying the latest and greatest in the red-dot-sighted handguns is not in my cards. On the other hand I find myself enjoying shooting red-dot-sighted handguns more as my eyesight is just not that great any longer.

Anyway, my latest conversion to red-dot is a Sig 220 SAO handgun. Sure, this isn't the best range gun, but it's what I've got to work with, and work with it I will. I bought an EGW sight base for the Sig 220 and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro which despite my concerns, installed nicely. The rear sight drifted out right to left, the new base drifted in left to right. BTW, a sight tool really helps with drifting in and out, much more precise than banging on parts with a hammer and punch.

It's not everyone's cup of tea for sure, but it works for me, and it breaths new life into a platform so I get to enjoy it longer. Worth a share at least.
