Sig 225 Questions

I just picked up a sig P225 today at a local gun show. My plans are to have the action worked over by Teddy Jacobson and possibly have the slide and barrel hard chromed. I am wanting to use this to "build" a concealec carry package. I was looking at laser stuff, and noticed lasermax sales the laser for the 225 only to LEOs. Can a civilian legally get one of these? And if so, where would I look? I would really love to get one for my 225 for training purposes as much as anything. Thanks.

As far as the lasermax item goes, this sounds like one of those corporate policy type things. So if you can have them for other guns, it's certainly not illegal for non-LEOs to have one for the 225. Trick will be getting one. You don't know any cops, do you? This is the way I'd get around this rule. Give the money to a police buddy and let him buy it for you. Neither of you would be doing anything wrong and you'd get what you want. Another option is to try a few gun dealers. Don't tell them you know the policy is to sell to police only, you might find someone who will help you. Another option is to hit www.gunbroker.com and see if you can find the model you want. Some online stores may be able to help too. Good luck.
