Thanks to all the great advice received here, I purchased a Sig 239 in .40 S &W for my CCW gun. I purchased a LNIB 239 with Trijicon sights. I shot my first range session today. The little gun is very accurate 2" groups at 15 yards with 135gr and 165gr loads, but shoots about 3" low at this range. Would 180gr loads group higher? The front sight has the number 6 on it. Does anyone know if a higher # or lower # Trijicon front sight raise the impact? Also, are the MCM sights tritium and adjustable for elevation? I know this is being picky, but I would love to have the gun shoot to point of aim at this range. Thanks in advance.

SIG sights are combat sights and should be used differently than target sights. You need to cover your target with the top of your sights with combat sights. With target sights you'll need to align the top of your sights with the bottom of the bullseye.

You probably knew that but just in case...

You can swap out your front and rear sights with a SIG sight pusher or very carefully with a brass drift punch. Make sure your slide is firmly vised in non-marring jaws.

If you think you'll need to re-sight your pistol, the rule is simple. Moving to a higher sight number will make your bullets impact higher.

SIG has good info on their websight detailing how much your bullet impact will change dependent upon front and rear sight replacement. I think it's on their FAQ page concerning the sight pusher.

Good Luck with your fine purchase. I think you'll find it to be very reliable, accurate and correctly sized for a small, major caliber pistol. I wear mine with complete confidence and satisfaction.

Thanks for the information. Great advice. I found the article on the Sig Site as you suggested. I am very impressed with my 239 and got it as my CCW weapon. It is the perfect size, not too big and not too small. I have a .357Sig barrel on order for Cheaper than Dirt and can't wait to shoot it too!
