Hey guys, this is my first post here, just joined today noticing all the info and help one another give.
So my buddy has a Sig Arms/LL Bean edition o/u shotgun in 12ga, I believe it is made by B. Rizzini? Correct me if I am wrong! But he was explaining to me that when he shoots any high brass or heavy loads the first shot will go off, but when he goes to fire the second it will not function. We noticed after the first shot the safety was kicked back into the 'safe' position. (This doesn't happen when shooting any low brass). So I told him it could be the safety is just worn and it it just hammered back from the heavier recoil. He's been shooting it for about 5 years and it just started happening. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Kyle

You might want to watch him shoot the gun and see where his thumb is. He may be inadvertently putting the safety on with his thumb during recoil.

There is absolutely no difference between "high brass" and "low brass" shells other than the height of the brass. There's a little spring that holds the safety in the position you put it in... I would bet that's broken, worn, or needs adjustment.

Thanks guys for the input!
I did not notice the specific loads he was shooting, I still have much to learn in the firearms world. :D I did some searching and now understand the low brass/high brass confusion now a days.

Well, he's been shooting it for over 5 years now and has never been bothered by that; but who knows, I'll check it out!
