I was just checking a spec. on the Sig website on the P226

I noted huh/what?

http://www.sigsauer.com/products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=72&productid=321

Sig 210-6 Legend $2199

SIg P210-6 Legend TGT $2,399 w/adjustable rear sight

improved thumb safety and the mag release where it should be
behind the left trigger guard.

it sez mag capacity 10, 15 or 20 rounds, I thought/recall the
210 was a single stack no?

sure is a good looking handgun.

Que?

Looks awesome, I just wonder how soon until it's available. I'm guessing the twenty rounders will stick a little below the grip, but that's really cool that they revamped it a little while they were at it.

Perhaps SIg brought it back because the Swiss Army wanted more of them. - I know of late there was some vote on not allowing Swiss ex-Army to keep their service weapons at home. I have always heard the Swiss vets took their rifles home, would that also apply to the 210 if
issued?

I recall in 1970 when the Colt Goverment MOdel 70 Series was
about $110 the SIg 210 was $200 - more milling / hand fitting involved.

That is really a good price when you compare it to what original ones were selling for. The greatest thing about the re-introduction is that magazines will be available again...I'd heard they were in the $100 range because there wasn't an on-going supply

Not that I own one, but I've drooled at the examples they have at Collector's, and this new one somehow doesn't look right.

I don't know, did the P210 need to be "improved?" I understand handgunning has advanced, etc, but I think putting a beavertail and all on this thing is a bit much.

The most common/desirable add-on to the old 210s, that were actually shot, was the bolt on beavertail...the hammer bite was very pronounced and the bolt-on piece wasn't cheap

The 210 is one gun i have wanted in my collection that has been out of reach. This is one im going to be saving up for!

Yah know that last comment by kingoofthehill

Seems to me i can expand this thread since I started it.

COlt SW and and other manufacturers would do well to gring
'back a re-issue of

S&W 3rd Gen models

4006 1006 etc. or 3913

COlt CCO would be so esy to offer

Walther P38

and what else?

Looks interesting. I must say though, that I really do wish they had kept the Euro-style mag release. I know that these things are loved for competitions and the American-style release is faster, and heck I prefer it on most guns, but the Euro-release just seems "right" on this gun.

Kinda like a 1911 without a grip safety. It's a feature that I don't really even like, but I want it on a 1911 because, well, on that gun it's just supposed to be there :D.
