SIG comes out with metal framed P320

I like it, but I also prefer metal framed guns. But, I kinda don't get what role SIG went for. Too big and heavy for carry by P365 and Hellcat standards which are all the rage, and too small for competition. Hopefully it sells well, maybe more companies will start making frames out of a proper material.

Not everyone who carries is looking for small carry gun. The P320 is basically the same size and weight as a P229 and there are a lot of folks carrying those. I carry a P225-A1 which is only marginally smaller than a P229 or a P320. The 225 fits my hand better than the 229 and I prefer DA/SA for carry so the P225-A1 is my choice for carry. The size and weight of the P320 fits the home defense pistol niche quite nicely. In addition to that, the size and weight of a P320 make it more pleasurable to shoot at the range than a smaller, lighter pistol chambered in 9mm. One size does not fit all.
