Sig DAK vs. SAO

I am aware Sig is offering a P220 .45ACP in single action only (SAO), similar to that of the 1911. I am also aware that sig offers the P220 with DAK trigger. I like both options because they offer consistent trigger pulls, but what is going to be the noticable difference between the two? Is one better than the other?

I have been told you can send a regular (SA/DA) pistol back to sig and they will modify it to a DAK trigger... is there anything special about this? Can you visually tell it has been modified or anything else?

The DAK is DAO and, as such, will have a much, much longer trigger pull and reset than a Sig SAO. DAK is like shooting a revolver with a ~6 lb trigger pull everytime. SAO is, well, single action. I own a DAK but not an SAO (next year I'll probably get some version of the P220 in SAO).

Whether or not a DA/SA Sig can be converted to DAK depends on when the frame was made. Based on what I've read frames made within the last year or so can be but it's best to call Sig with the serial number and ask
