Fella's;

I see that CDNN is selling SIG 229's with "the new DAK trigger system". Could someone please inform me as to just what this trigger system is?

Thanks, 900F

According to SIG's website, the DAK system is SIG's DAO trigger. It provides a consistant trigger pull between 6.5 and 7.5 pounds, depending on which model of SIG you are shooting.

I'm really interested in trying one out once the opportunity presents itself.

I tried one at the local range, and really like it - enough that I bought a P239 DAK, and have a P220C DAK ordered.

It's a very smooth trigger, running around 6.5lbs on the P229. Definitely beats the DAO option.

I've had seveal SIGs and have not been a big fan of their triggers.

The DAK trigger is about to make me reconsider. The ones I've handled and shot are very nice.

(And a lot better than Glock's trigger. And I like Glocks.)

The Sig DAK is a lot like the Para Ordnance LDA trigger, a light DA trigger that has a full reset (i.e., the trigger has to return all the way to the front before you can fire again). Personally, because of the trigger reset, I prefer their traditional DA/SA trigger. I also prefer the HK LEM trigger, which is DAO, but has a much shorter reset.

However, the DAK does feel somewhat like a very nice DA revolver trigger, so if you like that, I bet you'll like the DAK.

Cheers,
Liam

Alan;

$499.99 is what I remember.

That is correct, but only if you want 40S&W and it comes with only one 12 rd mag. They do have factory mags for $30.

I guess I would rather have the 229 in 357Sig with traditional trigger system for $390. The 229's are on page 50 of the current CDNN catalog.
