About decided on picking up a Sig 228 from CDNN. Now the real choice is blue, K-kote or two-tone.

How do each of these hold up?

Edit: This may see some carry time if that matters.

The 228 has a stamped steel slide. Go with the two tone. The blue will rust and the K kote is not much better. The nickel slide on the two tone holds up very well. If its a factory two tone it should be a brushed nickel. They look pretty good.

+1 to that.

I live in dank, musty Florida, and I sweat like a hog on all my CCW pistols. I have made the most stainless of steels turn to rust. I carry a 220TT, and have sometimes even neglected the finish, and she still looks like new. The blueing is sub par. Try to get SS or blue mags where availible. The phosphate mags scratch and mar like they were painted with latex.

Bratch,

I'm looking at the 228s (a month later) and wondering the same thing. Did you get your 228, and if so...are you happy with it?
