Purchased my first Sig pistol in August, P250 compact .45 Acp. Got a good price and had done the research or so I thought. Sig quality and Hey it is a modular gun if you don't like the size of the gun, the caliber, or the grip just buy an X-change kit and you're good to go! Took her out for a test run, actually like the way she handled! Then the problem popped up. When you register with Sig they give a 20% disc. on accessories from their store, again Great! Called and ordered a 357 sig X-change kit and extra magazine in 357 Sig. Now for the kicker, The rep. says we are temporarily out of the X-change kit, but will have some in at most 4 to six weeks. Took my card info and placed the order. About a week and I received the 357 magazine and of course billed. This was 9/11 called today to check and was informed Sigs priority is new guns and they would send my kit when they were caught up with new gun production and could not give me any time frame on when that would be! Just so you know their new P320 uses many of the same parts in their X-change kits. Beware of the Hype!

The good news is that a lot of the parts for a P250 will fit in the P320. For the most part just the slide and the firing module is different. But that said you will find this in about all the manufacturing world now. Them only make it if you need it no need to have warehouse space method is great for the manufactures, but sort of bites for the consumer that is waiting for the parts.

Issue

The point I was trying to make was, If like myself you purchased the weapon for the supposed ability to change it's configuration at some other time as they advertised, Sig is not delivering as they say and don't seem to care. The pattern IMO will probably be repeated with the P320 and was merely a warning to others.
