I own a Sig P250sc which is very similar to the very popular Sig P320. They both have many parts in common and I have recently learned three things about them.
1. There is now a second generation slide catch lever for both ( they used the same scl ) that makes it less likely that you will ride the slide catch with your thumb and cause the slide to not lock back on an empty mag. There are three parts you need to change and they all come in one kit called the KIT-320-SCL. The kit includes the slide control lever, a post and a spring. The post and spring are different from the old ones so you need to get all three together. If you were to buy a newer grip module the kit normally comes with it. The new slide control lever is backwards compatible with older grip modules.
2. The mag release is made of steel and will rust if not cleaned and protected after being exposed to heavy sweat. I know! I shot my pistol in two IDPA type matches this past August and September here in hot humid Alabama and sweated like a pig. It never occurred to me to clean a polymer grip module and after getting and installing the new SCL I noticed that the mag release had almost rusted shut! I was able to get it back working by using Gun Scrubber and a gun lube but decided to order a new mag release to be on the safe side.
3. That brings me to the third new thing. Sig makes and sells an extended mag release. It also consists of three parts but I could not fin a kit for it so I bought the three parts separate. I like it as it makes it easier to drop a mag in competition. Look for the parts labeled as long.
Take care
