Anyone know who produces Sig factory handgun magazines?

Is there a company who produces quality aftermarket magazines for Sig handguns? (Or any aftermarket mags) :banghead:

Current ones are now US made Checkmate. Mec-Gar is considered the best. The Checkmate's have a spotty reputation.
If they do not say "Made in Italy" and only have Sig markings they are probably Checkmate.
Which gun and caliber are you looking for?

Checkmate also makes mags for Colt as well as Sig. I have several in 9mm and 45acp and none have ever had any issues. Checkmate also produced the last batch of 1911 mags for the Army back in the '80's. Haven't used Mec-Gar so I can't compare.

I'm looking for mags for the Compac P320 which are 15 round 9mm mags.
The two that came with the gun were made in Italy.

Price is also a consideration, if not I would have already f bought them for $45 each. I just can't bring myself to do that.

Update, I found them at Bud's for only $35.56 each so I bought them just now.

It appears that Mec-Gar does NOT make the factory mags for the SP2022. The SP2022 factory mags has that crappy looking phosphate finish. My P320 the mags say "Made In Italy" and look fantastic.

I was going to buy some of the Mec-Gar 17 round mags for my SP2022(they have a MUCH better finish), but they have a somewhat loose wobbly fit.

For any of my SD/HD guns it's gotta be factory or Mec Gar. Now for range, even crappy Pro-Mag will do. Wait, scratch that - just too dang frustrating with Pro-Mag, even at the range!

Next time you're looking keep in mind the mags for a P250 compact will also work for your P320. Same gun just hammer fired.

Appearances are deceiving....SP 2022 mags have always been produced by Mec-Gar

Mec-Gar had been the OEM for SIG mags for ages prior to their recent introduction of a domestic manufacturer. The magazines they produce to SIG specs had the phosphate finish and usually had a lower capacity

Concurrent with their SIG mags, they produced ones under their own name with the slicker finish and larger capacity (due to their "nesting" mag springs)
