I decided to look for a new carry pistol, decided 9mm with proper ammo is just fine, wanted nite sights and 12-15 rnd capacity striker fired unit.
Saw Rugers, Smiths, glocks beretta and some Taurus offerings. Whst really caught my eye was the Sig 320, I like the swap out fire control unit concept and the available grip frames caliber choices and slide lengths really well too. I like this pistol very much, and find it easier to shoot than my other auto pistol, a glock 22, and eminently easier to conceal. I havnt seen much commentary regarding this pistol, at least here, what are some of your opinions on the Sig compact?

I have a Sig P320 X-Compact that I like very much. Nice straight trigger, a plate for a red dot, and X-Ray sights. It’s the same size, I believe, as the standard P320 Compact, so you should check it out.

I did see one of the X versions, felt pretty good too, just didnt have the tritium sights, straight trigger was sweet.

I got a full size and it's excellent. Superior accuracy certainly. The trigger is especially nice.

I don't know how different the compact is however.

Just smaller. I bought the full size kit with grip/ slide, and it's way nice. One interchangeable unit, multiple frame and caliber options. I like this pistol, and the trigger on mine is very nice too.

I've picked up 2 of the P320 compacts. Both of mine were the base model without night sights. They were to replace several older pistols that were getting difficult to locate parts for. Both have been reliable with only a few feeding issues during the initial break in. I think they are a great choice, for a simple and function defensive handgun. I have picked up a subcompact grip module for those times I might want to carry a shorter grip concealed.
