SIG P220 Carry holster question?...

I am about to pick up a Sig P220 Carry . I already have a holster on order for that gun specifically that won't be coming for quite a few months. I do have the ability to pick up a custom holster made for either a P220R and P229R. Which holster is more likely to work?

Website has shows same specs for P220 Carry vs P229R. Figure the P220 holster would be 1/2 inch longer. Thanks in advance.

I believe that the P229R holster should be the same for the P220R Carry.

My P220 Carry SAS fits nicely in my P229 Galco leather holster. The only real difference is in the length of the front of the trigger guard. The P220 trigger guard comes to a point and the P229 is more rounded. The point doesn't allow the gun to seat all the way down in the holster. It probably wouldn't work in the molded plastic type holsters.
