So I shot like 2 mags out of my Sig P220 tonight, rapid. After I finished the 2nd mag, it didnt want to releae. It locked really tight. finally I had to lock the slide open and guide/somehwat force it out. any idea what could cause this?

Does your mag release button have spring-back to it, meaning if you push it in, does it spring back out witihout the mag inserted..?

Also, you might want to put a dab of CLP or Eezox in there to help free up any movement that may be hanging up..

Yep, Check the feed lips. I experienced a stuck mag in the same fashion during a training course after I seated a mag a little too hard and split the lips. I have also experienced a "sticky" mag when using very old German magazines in a brand new current production P220.

Check to see that the grip screws aren't too tight, or that they still retain the lock washer. I had a similar issue with a P-220 that was issued to me, 13 years old at the time.

One night at work I said "what the heck" and decided to FULLY strip and clean the gun and inspect the main spring, hammer, etc. Somewhere along the line I dropped out the small lock washer on one screw and didn't notice. This made the screw set just enough deeper that the flat front of the screw was jamming up against the mag...too deep into the well.

Try backing out the screws a 1/2 turn (not too loose of course) and see if it helps.
