Well Sig Sauer is officially selling legit factory p225 mags!!! did everybody already know this or did i actually make a good discovery?? i know its been hard finding good clips for this gun, my dad may be purchasing one soon and i was thinking of just getting the cheap ProMags for $20 each. the new Sig factory ones are fifty bucks each!!!! ridiculous. ANY spare mags from them seem expensive. but anyway heres the link:

oh by the way....what does "IMO" stand for? all these random abbreviations i dont understand. any others i should know about?

I bought 8rd & 10rd NEW Sig P239 9mm mags at my neighborhood gun show 25% less than Sig sells them . As 255's are around longer, cheaper mags should become more available.
 
Holy crap...The site works now and seems to be acccepting orders!

After searching online and finding these magazines at auction sites for $100-150, I placed an order for 6 new ones at $49 a piece, but sig gives discounts based on how many you buy. It came out to $250 or so, shipped.

I have 4 right now. I am not sure I want to pay $50 each. I am glad to see they are making them. I can't believe they dumped all those pistols on the market and didn't expect the demand.

Beside, I have other pistols for which I need to stock up on mags and those come first. :)
 
It's supply and demand.

Other than high priced sig factory magazines, promag is the only company that currently makes magazines for these pistols. No one else has stepped up, and the demand has been high for months.

I have no problem spending an extra $20 for magazines when no one knows if decent replacements will ever be available. The way I see it, this is karma punching me in the nuts for all the money I made selling my preban Glock magazines a month before the ban sunset :uhoh:
 
Yes brown paper wrappers. I sold off a few of my extra P225 mags here to help people out. I have a few and am trying to secure more.
 
I'm sure German police ordered more than two mags per pistol.
I would think they have minimum of 4 mags per pistol.

There has to be a warehouse full of ex-police mags somewhere in Germany waiting to be found. I'm sure somewhere down the road we'll see these mags for $20 each.
 
I thought about a P6 but decided against it because of the magazine cost.
Wound up with a P-01 instead that is in better shape, holds more ammunition, and has factory mags for $40 and Mec-Gar's for $20.
 
There has already been more than on shipment of mags that came in and were sold in a matter of hours. I know Sig Sauer is not bringing more in so if they are coming an I would look to guys like Top Gun and AIM.
 
I just spoke with John at Sig USA and he told me that they have 400+ in stock, and are going to recieve more. It's quite possible that Sauer in Germany is producing more magazines to feed the American demand.
