Numrich offers spare factory slides and barrels for several pistols including the SIG P229. I own one in 9x19mm and I think it would be nice to change calibers. However, according to the prices on the website, by the time you buy both a slide and barrel, the price is more than a brand new P229!
Is Numrich full of it, or what? Is there a less expensive source for these parts? AFAIK SIG doesn't offer slides direct and their barrels are no less expensive.
