Sig P238 "sport" model?

I'm wondering why the "sport" edition with Hogue grips and a laser is so cheap. Here's an example on gunbroker: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=366497302
I don't personally care for the grips, and probably wouldn't carry the laser, but seems like a good deal comparitively. Am I missing something?

I bought that exact model last year at my LGS for $479. I thought it was a mis-print, but that was the deal. Its simply the best value for the 238. Mine has Tritium sights, and came with the 7 shot magazine. I dont know why they are so low priced. Its an excellent pistol.

Only comes with one mag. Other models come with a flat base plate 6 rounder and an extension mag holding 7. That should add another $40 to the total.

Sweet little gun though. Shoots like a .22

that is a damn good deal if the internals are the same (i have no doubt they are).

my 238 SAS will closer to $600.

great little gun. no use for lasers, especially with tritium sights. but to each his own.

Note the 938 pricing is sometimes similar. The sporter model tends to be lower priced.
Sometimes this is because of the following:
The sported is the nitrile (SP?) coated aluminum. Some of the other models are stainless steel. Hence a higher price.
Maybe this true on the 238's as well.

I think all the 238s have aluminum frames except for the HD version which is all stainless but is 5 oz heavier.

I believe the aluminum frame is anodized, not nitron coated.

If I wasn't for the fact I have a P238HD, this statement would register on my BS detector... but I do have a P238 and indeed they do exhibit ridiculously mild recoil.
I really think most folks with prior experience with blowback .380acp pocket pistols will have to fire one to believe it.
