Can I easily conceal a SIG p239 in a smartcarry holster? Would this gun weigh too much to carry comfortably all day? I want to get a gun for both CCW and HD, and wonder if the p239 is the best gun. I would appreciate any suggestions.

p239 is great

works real good with a milt sparks versa max 2 .works with the smart carry best if your standing.not as good if your sitting, thanks, keith

I love my 239, but if you're set on carrying in a SmartCarry, look at a Kahr P9. Much thinner & lighter, though DAO, quite accurate. YMMV, HTH.

A friend of mine uses his P239 for his carry iece. Has been for 5 or 6 years now. Not that it matters proberly, but he chose the .357Sig chambering for his. have never heard of any problems with it. I've shot it and although it had more felt recoil than I expected, in a situation when it would be needed, the felt recoil wouldn't even b a concern. If you like it and it's comfortable for you...:p

While I am not familar with the smartcarry holster I will say you would have to look very hard to find a more accurate reliable pistol in the same price range/size as the 239. I carry mine in a Alessi Talon Plus and have no problem concealing it under an untucked polo shirt.

The 239 in either 9mm or .357 SIG carries all day easily in a Milt Sparks VersaMax2 holster. Dennis

I carry a Sig P239 357 Sig in a Milt Sparks 55BN OWB and it's easy to carry. I also carry a Kahr PM9 in the same holster and an Alessi Talon IWB and I prefer the Kahr to CCW than the Sig. The PM9 is a lot lighter, thinner though if Sig were to make a micro compact pistol like the Kahr, I'd probably carry the Sig.
