I have been looking for something for years that was more or less my dream gun, a cross between a G19, an M&P and a SIG. And, finally I think someone has created it. The relatively new SIG P320 may just be it. However, I have not had the chance to try one yet. Does anyone here own one? If so, what can you tell me about it? How is the trigger in DAO? That is the one major flaw for me personally but lots of people are saying its a non issue with its crisp break and short reset. The long pull traditionally associated with SIGs is not long gone, supposedly. Anyways I am just looking for feedback from someone who actually has one. Thanks.

Picked one up first week of November, really great gun, good balance, great trigger, very accurate. To me the 320 trigger has a very clean break, it has a very good short reset and even thou the trigger pull is around seven pounds you just don't notice it all that much. SO far has about 500 rounds thru it and no issues.

Just brought mine home tonight. The chassis is currently sitting in a bath to degrease it, but it seemed really robust when I inspected it. The only thing I didn't care for was the 3-dot sights, but they'll be replaced before I put too many rounds through it

Shot a couple before I decided to buy one and it really feels nice. Mine is a Compact model, about the size of a Glock 19, but feels better in my hand and points really well...they use the same grip modules as the P250

Regardless of what their marketing says, this isn't a DAO pistol...the P250 was DAO...it has a striker fired action like the Glock or the M&P. The trigger was a bit heavier than I care for, but the let off was very clean...it will be making a trip to Grayguns for some action work before I shoot it in Production competition.

What won me over was the ability to change sizes and calibers

I just purchased a 9mm Compact p320 last week and had a chance to put 50 rounds through it yesterday.

I like it a lot. Similar size to the G19 with slightly more weight. Grip feels great, grip angle works better for me, recoil is very light, the trigger is quite nice and the gun seems accurate. The sights are regulated for a 6 o' clock hold, but I can get use to that. I did have to move the rear sight .026" to get the windage correct. The rear sight was snug but not overly tight so it was easy to do.

I am convinced the higher than a glock bore axis actually contributes to a reduction of felt recoil at the expense of more gun movement. I like the trigger a lot more as I tended to shoot the glock to the left during faster shooting (think IDPA).

I don't see that being a problem with the P320 because the trigger overtravel seems to be limited. So far I am liking it more than my G19.

Evidently no. I shot a nice group about 2.5 inches high of the point of aim (tip of the front sight) at 15 yards.

Hickok45 also commented on the 6 o' clock hold during his review of the full size p320, so for the most part I expected this.

From what I understand it takes p226 sights so changing it wouldn't be a big issue.

If you like striker fired pistols , take a look at the new H&K VP9. I shot one this past week belonging to a friend and was most impressed. The back strap grips and trigger sets this gun apart from the others in a big way. Accuracy was typical of the H&K pistols I have as well. It just put my Glock to shame and made it look like a piece of junk in every way.
