I have a Sig P226 E2 9mm. The single action trigger on it is atrocious with a lot of over travel/play in it. I was thinking about sending it to Sig Sauer to have the Action Enhancement Package installed on it. I've heard some people say that the AEP doesn't make that much difference and other say it does.

Can anyone who has had it done attest to whether the AEP is worthwhile or not?

The folks at sigtalk.com who have used this service all were very pleased. I have not had any AEP done at Sig, so have no personal experience.

Odd that the single is so bad. Usually its the DA that is a problem...
Anyway, I had my 226 ST sent in for the Action Enhancement Package and am very pleased.

You will easily notice the difference. I am sending in my 226 Elite for the same treatment here soon.

What I especially liked about the AEP was the smoothing/lightening of the DA. Worth it just for that.

Yeah, the double is bad as well. I just didn't mention it because it's a given. Didn't expect the SA to be that bad. I compared it to a 226 at the LGS and the LGS one was a lot better than mine.
