Finally picked up and shot my new to me P225. It's a pistol I've lusted over since I bought my first handgun in 1992, but for some reason just never got around to buying.

Date coded AB, 2001, it was shot very little by the previous owner who decided to have a little work done this past November by Sig. It now sports a Nitron finish, a short trigger, and a Sig AEP.

Double and single action are VERY smooth.

Great shooter. Can't wait to pick up #2 on the 15th...

Man do I love the P225.

Yes it is low capacity.
Yes it is not a small gun.
Yes it is only a 9x19mm.
Yes they tend to have very heavy double action triggers.

But damn if I don't find it to be one of the best looking guns and sort of a classy autoloader. I am a sucker for single stacks though and the P225 is one of my all time favorites.

I know the P225 has a history of heavy DA pulls, but this one with the Sig Action Enhancement Package is light and smooth. The 2nd one I bought up is also much lighter and smoother then I expected.

As for capacity and being 9x19, frankly I've never felt under gunned depending on .38spl either.

I'll have pictures of the happy pair on Sunday. :)
