Can anyone tell me if there is another Sig Sauer model that uses the same magazines as the Sig Sauer 225? If so, where is best source to get them? Thank you

They might still be in stock. Those mags are few, hard to find and sell out like crazy so hurry and buy as much as you can. If you ever come across an extractor snatch it up too.

A while back I found a Walther P1 mag for 5 dollars at a gunshow and modified it.I marked where the slot needed to be and cut a thin slit with a dremel tool. Then I put the mag in the gun to make sure I measured right, then I opened it up the rest of the way with a file, checking for fit after every ten stroks. Then I built and shaped some epoxy up on the follower so the magazine would hold the slide back. The whole process took maybe an hour.

So far I have run a little over a box worth of ammo though it and have not had a single problem.

There is also Promag but there a mixed reviews on them. Some say they work just fine and some don't. I guess you could try one out for yourself if you wanted to.

Yes, unfortunatly it's the P6. Both the P6 and the P225 are out of production. Real Sig magazines for the P6/P225 are going for over $40 each.

The Pro Mags are OK for practice.
