Okay, I was in LGS and came across Sig Sauer P250c at a clearance price. Sales man said they were just trying to move the gun. I liked the feel, and on impulse purchased it.

Get home, go on line, find lots of personal reviews that blast the gun for everything. most don't indicate if it was 1st or 2d version of gun.

Find professional reviews that say 1st version was bad, 2d version has problems fixed and now gun is good to go.

So did I make a bad move,or is it now a sleeper? haven't been to a range yet.

Sig P250

The Sig P250 is a fantastic weapon, best grip and DAO trigger.

Many shooters don't like it because it is DOA,

Remember we have a whole generation of shooters and instructors that have been shooting striker fire pistols and dismiss anything double action.

For CCW it's hard to beat,

I have the P250c in 45 and 9mm large size grip and night sights,

I love the DAO trigger on the P250, it is a shame that gun doesn't get more respect. It is truly remarkable in so many ways

I liked mine alot. I only traded it off to help fund something I liked better, but I could in no way fault the gun. Super comfy with a very nice dao trigger.

There is a reason the 320 is getting a lot of attention. It's the striker version of a good design that doesn't get nearly enough love.

The only negative I had with the gun was that some stiff Russian primers took two smacks of the hammer to touch off. However, I had the same issue with a couple strikers. The nice thing about the 250 was the double strike capability for that situation.

Sig P250 SC here. I bought it back in early June. Only problems (4 times) were bad ammo that didn't want to feed right.

On the last failure to feed I put the round back in the mag and get it to feed three times. Failed each time so I threw away that round. Win Whitebox 9MM.

I really like DAO pistols.

A good friend had the 1st gen version, and it was a great gun in 9mm. Trying to make it run in .45 was howevers a fool's errand. I would carry one in 9mm without any problems.

The first ones had problems, Sig fixed it, and now they run just fine.

My P250 is my primary defensive handgun. I have kits for .40, 9mm, and .45 and they all run flawlessly.

I prefer to use the compact slide over the subcompact grip.

Here's a good tip - get a snap cap, and take advantage of that DAO trigger and dryfire the heck out of it. Once you can leave a coin sideways on the front sight and not have it fall off when you pull the trigger, take it to the range and see how much better it shoots.

Had one, got it at a really good price as well. Ended up trading it in on something I liked better. Mine was a 2nd gen

Decently made guns, For the hundred or so rounds I put through it mine had no failures.
The modular thing is nice, I like having one registered trigger pack and open options on how I want to configure it.
Grip frames are cheap, New slide and barrel combo's aren't. It would have cost me more to purchase a different slide and barrel than it did to purchase the gun.
The DOA trigger didn't really bother me, I'm used to shooting revolvers and the trigger was actually nice, comparable to a lightened K frame S&W trigger, imo.

In the end it just didn't do anything other guns in my collection didn't except be an affordable polymer DOA SigSauer.

I had one as well. It was a good dependable shooter with a long DAO trigger. The trigger was smooth but definitely a long pull. Mostly .357SIG fired through mine and I had the conversion kits for 40/9mm/45. Never had an issue with it but traded it away for a NIB 226R from someone who wanted a polymer multi-cal.

I have carried the SC for about 3 years. After about 500 rds, I have had no burps. Love it! Only probe was finding IWB leather.
