I just bought Sig Sauer P938.
Have some questions.
The slide release is very tight and Siglite Night Sights covered by some kind of plastic or protective cover, never seen something like that before. All my guns with night sight were just painted with white color.
Thank you

My P938sas siglite night sights are the same. They are very bright When used in darkness. No issues.

Same sights, I believe, are on my Sig P238. They work well for me for a factory sight.
So what is your question?

Slide release is stiff on mine as well, it's that gun that made me start forcing myself to use the slingshot method on all my handguns now.

My question is that mine is not bright in the dark, just greenish and hard to see and on daylight it hard to see also.

There is not a plastic seal over the lamp, it's the optical adhesive used to hold the lamp assembly and lens the lamp to diameter. The Siglite lamps are meprolight products, which use a white plastic sleeve, glass lens, and optical adhesive over the lens. Other models you might be familiar with, like the XS dots, are a steel sleeve with a glass lens, also installed with optical adhesive, then a painted white ring around the lamp, countersunk into the sight body. The meprolights are proven to be a brighter product, but often appear more dull because they have less of a contrast at the edges. The plastic sleeve takes on a dull glow, so it offers a larger illuminated circle than the Trijicon lamp design, but the edge isn't as sharply defined. None are painted white over the top of the lenses - but the mepro's will often look as though they are, since the tritium won't glow strongly enough during the day to be visible, and the bottom and sides of the sleeve are white. The trijicon's typically reveal themselves with a more grey center in the day time, and less uniform across the dot, since there is a clear demarcation between the painted white ring, the steel sleeve, and the gas lamp core.

Thank you,
Great explanation but it not changes the fact it is not bright, in my case anyway

Hit up Sig. They may direct you to mepro. But if they are dim and under 12yrs, most likely they'll get replaced

I bough this gun last week, not sure how long ago it was manufactured but highly doubt than 2-3 years ago.
Will try with Sig and see what came out of it.
Thank you for your help.
