Sigh...I'm caving probably and getting a G26 - feel guilty

I refuse to even leave my house with only one gun... :uhoh:

LOL, good stuff

as for the original topic, about the girlfriend thing, i said i wasn't gonna say anything but i am gonna go ahead and chime in now. If she doesn't like the whole gun thing, convince her to go shooting with you at least once. My last girl wasn't too fond of guns (grew up in the middle of New Orleans, so guns there are generally used for a different thing :uhoh: ) til I took her to a range. Changed her whole attitude about them. She had more fun than I did!

What is this "buyer's guilt" that you speak of?

I really tried to talk myself into a G26 but, alas, my Vienna sausage like fingers are much too small for the grip size.

I say buy what you can afford. I have long ago quit promising myself that I will quit buying more guns. I have slowed way down, but if I come across something that is a great deal and I can afford it I will probably get it.

Guilt? It sounds like you have "reasonable justification" for purchasing the sub.

That being said there are a lot more pleasant sub compacts out there besides the G26. The S&W m&p9c is nice. The springfield xd sub is also more ergonomical and the grip safety is a nice feature for those that carry iwb.

Also know the distinction between a pocket and a small gun. Is a pocket gun what you really want? If so you would be looking for a j-frame or .380 auto.

Just trying to get you to think outside the GLOX.

Your justification is that:

a. you need a backup gun in case your primary gun breaks or is lost or stolen or you're just working on one
b. you need a carry gun and a home defense gun
c. you might want to carry both your primary and backup gun at the same time - police do this all the time

The great thing is that a G17 and G26 make a good combo because they have the same caliber and the 17 magazines fit in the 26. An even better combo is a G19 and G26. The G19 is easier to conceal than the G17. The G19 mags will also fit in the G26.
