Sights for an AR

I recently bought my first AR, a DPMS Sportical, and like a lot of budget carbines, it did not come with any sights. What would be your recommendation for cheap sights - irons, scope, red dot, all will work - to get the gun up and shooting?

Best bet for decent yet cost effective would be a set of Magpul MBUS gen II and/or a Primary Arms red dot or Bushnell TRS-25/32

Mach gave good advice. Magpul ones to start but eventually upgrade to real irons. I recommend Troy, Midwest Industries, and Yankee Hill sights if you decide to upgrade eventually.

I like my Primary Arms red dot. I got the one with 50K battery life, the MD-ADS, I believe and it is a crisp looking red dot.

You will need an aluminum front sight intended for gas block mounting (as opposed to a front sight intended for handguard mounting).

Midwest Industries jumps to mind.
