1) HR1022's existence is simply a sop to a subcontituency and doesn't have a chance in hell of passing. It's even worse/stronger than the 94 ban (several CA elements have crept in) - though those could be throwaways for future negotiation. We've actually made some pro-gun gains in 2006 Congress/senate elections, the balance in going to stay approximately the way it is, and even with Hillary as president this will not go thru.
2) This petition is both USELESS and DANGEROUS...
- useless, because online petitions have the relevance/significance of
French military policy or blind art critics.
- dangerous, because the folks that signed them actually think
they have done something useful - when that time shoulda been
spent giving an extra buck to NRA or ILA, or writing a legislator.
Just curious, but what value does signing this petition have?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having the freedom to buy any firearm, but will our (so-called) political leaders start listening to the voice of the people even with a million votes. Or ten million?
I have talked to a select few of idiots in my days. Let me tell you, these anti gun anti hunting people are the stupidist sons a b--- ches I have ever dealt with.
It used to be, at one time, stupid people at least knew they were stupid and would shut ta hell up! Lest they be found out and ridiculed. Now, its OK to be stupid! Now only that, they can run for President.
I actually support an assault weapons ban. Shooting is fine with me, so is hunting but using weapons typically reserved for the military is a little rediculous. Whenever I see an assault weapons ban I always support it.
Jaenak, my friend. I think you are on the wrong website. Heheheheheh.
If you are really an anti, but you don't want to leave the forum, please let everybody know. Because that way, in the future, if you decide to fight against the Second Amendment, the rest of us will know who you really are and will not be taken by surprise that we have a, well........a sort of traitor in the community.
No offense to you or anything but since this year is an election year and everything is critical, I think it would be much safer for freedom loving individuals that we don't have someone tampering with our hard work and progress.
Trolls are welcome to attend, just as long as they don't deliver personal attacks, or try in any way to tamper with our hard work or try to divide us amongst ourselves, which I know the antis would do.
I personally know that the whole ".45 ACP versus 9mm" threads I see on other gun sites are really works of the antis. Trying to pit gun owners against each other by causing flames. The thread seems harmless, of course, all about ballistics and such, but whoever created them know that in the end, forumers will exchange nasty comments and curses. Trust me, I know, and I want to stop it before it gets serious.
