Silicon impregnated bore store socks vs Zcorr storage bag?

Which is better? I heard Zcorr bags only last 5 years if you're opening them up and 20 years if you don't.

How about the Bore Store socks? How long do those last in comparison?

My understanding is you lose a bit of Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) every time you open it. Sort of like gasoline in your car's tank: leave the cap off and it'll evaporate out sooner that with the cap in place.

I prefer traditional cleaning and storage but I do own a few plain old silicone bags and so far they've seemed to work well.

How long have you had the silica bore stores? no rust?

Do you know if they ever wear out?
