Depends on how often you've used it. It will distribute less and less silicone with use. For general wipe down it might still be fine, but if siliconing is your thing and the cloth has seen a lot of use, it's probably time to buy a new one. Kudos to you, I lose these things after just a couple of months...
Yeah, but its not a question of cost. I have at least three others in my cleaning kits. It is simply a question of how long they last. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that the silicone itself does not deteriorate, as it says on the package the cloth can even be washed!

But it does dry out over time and will not transfer as much silicon oil to the firearm.
In other words, it will not be able to offer the same level of protection as a fairly new cloth.

You could always spray another coat of silicone on it. If it isn't saturated with grease or grime then keep on keepin on....

My dad uses one that's much older. He keeps it in the ziplock bag it came in...If I were in doubt, I would just spray a little silicone on it and keep on using it.

I just use it until it gets fuzzy, then I use it a while longer as just an oil wipe down rag. Of course some of my guns don't have exactly smooth polished bluing, which makes a silicone rag go fuzzy prematurely.

What chicharrones said: once the silicone no longer feels that prevalent it becomes a wipe down rag. I probably have a few that are 6 + years old but typically I like to replace them every couple of years. I do recall some older silicone cloths (yellow colored), that felt like they had a lot more silicone in them than the ones being made now.
