Yep, I use glow in the dark yellow and white on a couple of guns, doesn't really work like a real night sight but works well for getting rid of the all black front sights which I can't see any more.
I actually paint most of my sights with a I quickly painted the front sight on my Marlin 60 and Ak as well as the ghost sights on a barrel shroud for a "range toy" shotgun. It definitely helps with sight acquisition although a defensive handgun should have real nights.
My CZ 75B has glow in the dark paint on the sight. Mostly useless to me.
My cousin and I painted the sights on a number of our guns back in the early '60s. It worked okay, but we weren't shooting too often at night, except on weekend camping trips when there weren't any adults around. Ah, the good old days. I think the paint was better than what they make now.
