Nathan,
Thanks for sharing the link. I have always liked Larry Vickers. I did not think to look for him on you tube.
I will however have to report you to the mods. I will now watch 18 videos on you tube thus not going to bed early.
For all the worthless junk on youtube there is some great stuff.
Thanks again,
WNTFW

Thanks for the link. Larry Vickers is great.

That being said, the only AK I ever shot (a "real" AK) had a receiver pin walk out halfway through the magazine, locking the gun up solid.

My Bushmaster XM-15 has never failed to feed, fire or eject. It's more ergonomic and more accurate, too.

Fire arms are becoming very popular main stream TV shows. Many of them are less than accurate and kind of just a big advertisement. I have watched Larry Vickers and the guy is good and no BS. His show is one of very few I have made it a point to watch.

Some of LV's videos will never apply to me & this lifetime but at least I like them. I noticed sometimes LV is a lefty or a right hander seemngly with ease. We don't always get to see the hits produced, but the guy has BTDT according to what I hear.

VTAC or Viking Tactical has some worth watching. 3 little kitten drill IIRC was the name of 1. The guy doing the drill didn't seem as polished as he could have been. Mainly he seemd to switch hand unnecessarily. But then again, if I saw a video of myself doing the same I would probably look like just another Youtube dufus. ZigZag Drill was another. Kyle looks like he can put lead on target.

I don't like when the whole video is I'm too cool, my stuff is too cool, what I do is too cool, etc. I don't like the whole manhood through machismo thing. But if it has some redeeming value I can stomach it.

LAV and Kyle Lamb (Viking Tactics) are both basing their teaching on real life experience. Having done stuff operationally for real counts for a whole lot, but the fact that they served in a unit where assaulters and some other members go to the range and shoot to prep for gunfighting every daycounts for a whole lot more, to be honest. Plenty of guys around these days who've seen the elephant and successfully used deadly force, but very few who have 10% of the training guys like Vickers and Lamb bring to the table.

(And for those far enough inside the circle of trust, the feud between the two of them is also apparently quite interesting/amusing . . .)
