I just bought 2 Sinclair (stainless... and I like that) shell holders. They have some relationship with Brownell’s.

To steal a quote from “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”: Who are those guys? Where are their wares made? What exactly is Brownell’s relationship with Sinclair?

Sinclair has made really good stuff for a long time bench rest, gun cleaning bore guides.

Brownells bought Sinclair International a couple or so years ago, Sinclair has always catered to the accuracy crowd and make some really good stuff.

Here are pics of some of their stuff I have. Some bought 30 years ago.

Sinclair was pretty much the go-to for the benchrest crowd when I was involved in that game a few decades back. Their hand priming tool was considered the gold standard. I don't know if their stuff has been surpassed these days, but I'd put money on any of their stuff still being exceptionally good.

I'm going by memory here (cause I'm too lazy to google) but Sinclair International was founded by Fred Sinclair, a noted competition shooter in the 60's or 70's. They sold high end equipment for the competition shooter. They were bought by Brownells along about 2007 or so. Brownells was famous for marketing gunsmithing parts and tools for the professional smith.

That's how I was turned onto Sinclair in general and their hand primer specifically. I have had mine for 30+ years. I'll have to say though, the 21st Century hand primer is a better tool these days. Click adjustable vs shim adjustable. I use them both though, have the Sinclair set up for LR primers in 6 Creed and .308. I uniform the primer pockets with my K&M tool.
