Like my Sig P226 in 9mm and I like my Colt Cold Cup in 45. I'm starting to like the active safety of SAO cocked&locked versus DA/SA (I'm not looking to start a war on that) but I'd like a bit more than 8 rounds. I guess I could go with 10 round single stacks, but I was hoping to open the envelope a bit more.
I'm looking for a 45ACP for classes and for home, that is SAO but has higher capacity (10+). It seems that all I can really find are P220s and 1911 hi-cap models. Researched the FNP USG model, but eventhough it has a kind of hybrid DA/SA with SAO mode, it just seems odd. Had a XD before, how do the safety model ones compare, or are they just DA/SA with a safety added?
Besides the 1911s and the P220, are there any other SAO pistols? Looking for a full size 5 inch barrel with a rail.
Thanks
