Hey Folks: I'm new and looking to find the single action thread or what-evers.:)
I jump from the reloading and back and forth. Would like to find some of the Single Six Shooters. Now enjoying Super Blackhawk, Blackhawk Super Redhawk GP 100 MkII g22 plus.
Thanks in advanced

There's been a number of threads on the various single actions. A lot of single action lovers here. Here's my two favorite shooters. A Super Blackhawk that left the factory as a 10 1/2"(now 5 1/2") and a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in .45 colt. Most of my shooting at an indoor range that doesn't allow full power .44 mags so I use lighter handloads for the Super at about the 850 to 900 FPS level with a 240 Gr LSWC. My .45 Colt loads run about the same with either a 250 gr LRNFP or a 255 LSWC. They're both tack drivers if I do my part. They both also work quite well with the heavier loads too.

I really enjoy shooting Single-Action revolvers. Currently in "Foggy's Artillery Locker" are:

.357 Glossy Stainless Vaquero, "Sheriff's Model" 3-3/4" barrel
.357 50th Year Blackhawk
.22LR/.22Mag 50th Year Single-Six
MKII "NRA/Wm. B. Ruger" commemorative...hey wait a minute...that's not a Single-Action revolver, but still way up on the "Fun Gun" list.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot the .44 "Navy Colt" cap-n-ball revolver. Blackpowder shooting indoors will clear out the range real quick ;):D

I just love shooting single actions and have a few. I even do CAS. Mostly I shoot BP with them, but the Blackhawk ha seen lots of smokeless loads. Besides the percussions, the stainless Vaquero and the Colt clone have never seen a smokeless load shot through them, thus the Vaquero doesn't have those dark rings on the front of the cylinder.

Gotta say my favorites are the single actions. Just never got too excited about the whole semi-auto "tactical" stuff. I prefer Rugers and mostly the Bisley models.

here's some of them:

The following aren't mine but rather just a couple nice pics of TALO editions:

At the moment, I'm not a big single action fan although I just put my first shooter from Sportsman Warehouse (6.5" Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag) in layaway. They have them marked down pretty much nationwide. I'm not in a big hurry to get it out of layaway and will pay on it a little at a time in cash. Should be fun when I finally get it out.

Other ones include several Colt Single Action 22's that aren't shooters.
