Sionics Barrel experience?

I've been looking at their 16" Medium Contour barrel. I've heard good things from the few people who have tried them. I have run into something that puzzles me however, they will not reveal their gas port diameter. Of course it is not advertised but they are respectfully telling me that they consider that proprietary information. They do, however, assure me that they have worked to ensure it is properly sized and will not over-gas a rifle. Does anyone know this spec for Sionic barrels and does this sound shady?

I don't have experience with their barrels but people I hold in high regard when it comes to firearms and AR-15's have very good things to say about them. I would not hesitate to buy one if it fit my needs.

Which gas length? I know one of the big wigs there. They are within the ranges of "proper" for mid length and are correct diameter for carbine.

Also I have one of their medium contour barrels on my 11.5. Shoots well.

Sionics is on the up and up. If you have any problems (which you shouldn't) they'll take care of you. They are not the only company that considers port size proprietary information
