Welp, after many hours of toiling/filing/fitting/sanding and above all waiting... my Sistema 1927 is finished. Reblued, upgraded some parts (hammer, trigger, grip safety, bbl bushing, recoil rod & spring) and got some nice fittment on the original parts. All in all, I think this $250 1911A1 came out nice and pretty, and it can still do a mean double-tap on the range targets.

Not sure how bad this is for loading time but here's a few pics in a slideshow:

If I get time and can get all these photos sorted out I'll add in the "During" pics with the prepwork... :D

Does look nice. But I think you forgot the sights. A gun that pretty, and it's still got GI useless sights?

Yea, why did you change the trigger and put in a FLGR, but keep those tiny sights?

IMO, the sights were the only thing wrong with the original.

Not putting it down though, just confused. It looks great.

:D Never knew there was such animosity toward the GI sights, heheh

Personally I liked the ones on this gun, the rear sight has a curved notch which is not as common on alot of the standard GI sights, plus I am young enough to still be able to shoot well with 'em for the time being.

Besides, the slide is still in the original format, and nothing says I can't pick up another slide with a match grade barrel/bushing and novak cuts (etc etc), if I still want to mess with this one  I called over to Numrich Arms and asked about these:

Turns out they are from Remsport who supplies slides/frames to Wilson/Nowlin and I think they said Les Baer as well? So there's alweays room to add new options.... :D
