yeah I heard about that. They also came with a few dozen of the AK47s that have been flowing in the streets since last September.

Old story
It is the same tired old story from a couple of years ago when the "Ban the .50 cal, it's the terrorists weapon of choice" started. The Brady bunch and some of their ilk said that Ronnie Barrett sold Bin Laden and his cronies(Al Qaeda) a number of rifles. I don't remember how many, maybe 25. As it turns out Bin Laden's folks did end up with a number of them. It also turned out the rifles were legally purchased by the federal government, who then gave them to "freedom fighters" to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. Guess who those freedom fighters turned out to be? Luckily for Barrett, he still had invoices showing the disposition of those weapons(for once all that paperwork was a good thing) and the investigation went nowhere. So now they trot it out on the news every once in a while to aid in their continued pursuit of banning all guns.

Amazing how no one in the public (apart from THR and NRA members) expects or demands any kind of proof that terrorist do indeed use these weapons.
It's enough for most people that Sarah Brady SAYS SO. How it never occurs to these people to say, "Um, can you point us to an example of it being done?" is beyond my understanding. It's baffling.
WE, on the other hand, see a claim such as this made, and we say, "Um, why aren't we hearing of people dying from .50 wounds?"
(The answer, of course, is that they aren't.)

Are these the same ones he bought while on vacation in Orlando a few years ago? Rumors are he and his 47 wives stayed at Disneyworld, and took a day off from the fun at the park to attend a local gun show where he picked up the Barretts for only $19.95 each.

50 Cal
Has anyone seen the 50 in action? I have a short video that one of my bros sent me. All I can sya is WOW. They were picking the BG's off clear across the valley. We need to get more of those in our guys hands, then they could just pick off the bad guys without being close enough to get hit them selves. I sure wish that I had been lucky enough to have one in Nam.
