Skeet Thrower Opinions needed

I just broke my cheap-o spring loaded skeet thrower (again) and want a new one. Does anyone have recommendations for a good spring loaded thrower OR a relatively inexpensive ($200ish) electric one? The options online are numerous and confusing.

Champion makes some nice throwers. I like teh Matchbird, its a double seated option.

You might also look for a used Winchester/LaPorte - the single stack ones that have been in skeet houses for decades - they just work - with minimum maintenance. They will be used, but if a gun club is going out of business, you might get one (or better the pair) for a reasonable price

I've been using a Do-All Professional for years without issue and they are under $200.

One of my local ranges uses these, and they work well but do require periodic replacement of the clutch/pivot and springs. Whatever you buy, make sure that you can get spare parts for it.....

i just got one these about two months ago and love it. you can load and cock it one handed then the foot pedal tensions and fires it. works great , is very portable and you can go practice and operate alone for those times when no one else is available. i run it and never put my gun down. Place it at back of pick up, clays and shells on tailgate and your set.

+1000 to the Trius One Step. I had never shot clay pigeons before, never used a clay thrower, but bought the Trius based on good reviews and the fact that it could operated without a helper, and that you did not have to cock the arm against spring tension with your hands.

Mine works like a CHAMP. Once I got my technique down for stepping on the pedal and then finding and shooting the bird, I was cooking with gas.

If you want something that is stable, easy to operate by yourself, has good adjustability for throwing angle and path, and is spring loaded as opposed to electric, the hands down choice in my opinion is the Trius One Step.
