SKS and Remington 700 or Bushmaster AR-15?

Alright basicly, I have already made up my mind. But the deal is that, I can get a new Rem. 700 in .308, and a used sks, or a used bushmaster AR. After shooting my friends sk, and freakin lovin it, and really having wanted an ar-10 rather then a ar-15 in the first place. So basicly all I want to know is how of you would have made the same decision.

M4 style. I figure it is light, has decent range, easily adapts different optics, ammo is relatively cheap, and looks cool as heck IMO...
