hey guys my first post here and im kinda in a hurry (going to christmas party) so sorry if i leave something out but anyway ive got a yugo sks ive had for years thats always jammed and given me all sorts of problems but here recntly i took it out after sitting for 2 yrs and it will not eject one single round out of probably 60 rounds. also it is extremly hard to get the spent round to eject. i have to hit the bolt on something pretty hard. thats with steel cases brass still will not eject but they dont get stuck. gas valve is to the right, cosmoline has been cleaned and cleaned again on every part, new gas tube, piston ,op rod, bolt carrier spring, gas valve, bore scrubbed with brush on drill, (chamber has some pitting), stock mag, tried about 8 different brands of ammo, the only parts not new are the bolt carrier and the bolt barrel reciever. can anyone help im about to throw this thing in the river!

Run a cleaning rod down the barrel.
Then screw a bronze bore brush wrapped with 0000 steel wool on it inside the receiver.

Then chuck the cleaning rod in a cordless drill and clean the crap out of the chamber using powder solvent on the steel wool wrapped brush.

I have already cleaned it with the drill method several times and it's very clean. Don't know what else to do other than a new barrel receiver

Use the drill method again. I dealt with this with a combination of acetone, and flitz on a rag with a 45caliber brush forced into the chamber. That turned it into a bolt action that worked, then used the 'paperclip ship' to get it to cycle. Very good rifle now. You basically stuff a paperclip into the gas valve as a gasket. A standard keyring works better as its the correct thickness. Detailed instructions are pretty easy to find, but really it was alot of lacquer built up from the cheap ammo.

sks bad ejection/cycling

mine did same thing, very common on these rifles.bought a murray gas valve, works great now.

I had a problem with a worn gas tube on an old SKS, i ended up taking a paper clip and warping it around where the gas tube/cylinder assembly meets the gas tube vent from the rifle barrel. I also had one SKS accidentally have the gas valve switch knocked into the off position so check it just to be safe.
