SKS Mag Question

Question one : What capacity mag does the Yugo SKS come with ?
( Five or ten round ?)
( Single or double stack ?)

Question two: Will the Yugo accept a higher capacity mag without modifications to the rifle ?

10 round double stack.

You can change to a cheap Chinese or USA brand "Duckbill" type detachable hi-cap, but it's not recommended due to various legal and reliability issue.

Do a search here for Duckbill, we just hashed this over fairly recently.

 

[Sleeping Dog]

After some practice reloading from stripper clips, there's no advantage to a larger magazine. I like the standard 10-round mag.

The larger mags just get in the way, tangle on brush, interfere with prone shooting.

You can carry lotsa ammo on stripper clips.
