SKS on Independence day - Am I a traitor?

The Cold War is over.

I'm a private citizen of the United States, and my gun cabinets are stuffed full of military weapons made by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, its satellites, and its allies.

What could be more patriotic than taking some Commie iron to the range? Those guns were made by declared enemies of the United States, and those enemies are now so thoroughly defeated they sold off their small arms to the US civilian shooter market. Which absorbed millions of them, and tons of ammunition, without a burp.

"All your guns are belong to US..."

Precisely. We now own more AK-47's than Mother Russia. :)

We should own more AK-74's than Mother Russia at some point, too.

Somehow, even their current production stuff makes it over here in dribbles.

It's a shame more of these couldn't make it over here. But it seems American collectors weren't on top of the list for heavy weapons. You sure do see a lot of them on the news in the Middle East, though....!

My name is Trent, and I'm an American Capitalist Pig.

^Is that PKM fun even being semi-auto only? It seems like it would be like an oversized, heavy rifle without full auto.

I dunno, I'll let you know how my wife's DPM goes once I get it finished... I kept looking at the Goryunovs, but any more I don't think I could load one of those monsters into the car for a range trip.
