Wow! That is awesome! How many hours total do you have into it?

Fin...

Doc: completed at just over 40 hours, and there will be more hours into it once I design, mill, and install a scope mount/shell deflector for it. When I get to it, i'll post pics of it too.

edit: oh yeah, and I got a 4.0 on it...happy dance time!

here is a very happy me with my newly refinished SKS

close ups of the completed rifle...and the pictures really don't do it justice...

I hope all of you enjoy reading and seeing this as much as I enjoyed doing it. Now it's on to refinishing a Franchi over/under for a customer...

If anyone has any questions or would like me to work on their gun, don't hesitate to ask...

well @ the average of $40/hour for gunsmith labor, it would've been about $1600 to refinish my $300 SKS, LOL.

Congratulations on the refinish, and the 4.0! A grade well-earned!!!

WOW!!!

Now that turned out better than I imagined. Almost too pretty to shoot now,,,,,,naaaawwwwww.

Have fun with it.

And a really good grade to boot. Ya can't ask for anything more.

you bet I'm gonna shoot it, and she's a pretty straight shooter too. Been my deer rifle for years now, and it will continue to serve as such for many years to come. Albeit in a much prettier condition now.
