I recently purchased an SKS, Norinco with all matching numbers seen here.

I got lucky and found some of the GOOD 30 round magazines from USA Magazines...however I'm getting some mag wobble. Does anyone have bad wobble with aftermarket stocks?

I'm considering a Choate Dragunov stock. It looks sooo good

I agree with you on the looks thing, this is my russian (unissued), I put it in the "choate" stock 'cause I also like the look, and it just feels right, although I will be returning it to original until I get the whole "922r" thing worked out.

By the way, that is a "U.S.A. mag." and has no "wobble" issues at all, In fact it fits quite snug, works flawlessly, and is accurate to minute of bowling pin at 100 yards, even with the cheap scope setup.

Thanks much claymoore! For the pic and the info. Guess I'll order the stock now. As far as the 922r thing, I wouldn't worry about it. No one has ever been arrested nor prosecuted for that ridiculous ordinance. Now the wood on my original stock isn't in the best shape...it's quite rotted on the inside. My screws to hold the butt pad in won't even hold tap. I'm looking for a basic wood, non monte carlo, original style stock to keep as well. Any clue where to get those? All I find is monte carlo, tapco, folding etc...

I went with the Monte Carlo style
I don't have any pics with the removable mags, I have a 5 rounder in it for hunting, and here's a pic with a 15 rounder
This stock feels good.

Please don't advocate breaking the law. Yes, it's stupid, yes the law is, by technical legal definition, invalid, but the ATF has clout and if they decide you're going down, you're going down even if you've done everything right. So don't make their job easier.
