Bought a Chinese SKS today for $230 out the door with the haggling aid of user "ccsniper". I'm stumped though as to the factory, there's no typical Chinese triangle with factory number, the Chinese symbols are barely legible, but the bluing is intact. And the only English is the import marks "FKS Atl Ga SKS 7.62 China". Also the number 37 is found on the left side of the receiver above the magazine, possible factory number? There are 4 holes in the rear where a scope mount was, the two outer holes are threaded and the two inner still have pins. The hole locations remind me of a choate scope mount but based on where the bluing is rubbed the mount was a little over 4 inches long, to big to be a choate mount I think, shaped like a mount from a Cowboy Companion. It also has very low serial numbers (150XXX). I'm confused about this SKS. Also has choate stock soon to be replaced by a wood stock. I did check YooperJ's but I found conflicting results:banghead:
